The British sure know how to have fun

I posted off FJ Dagg’s prize package today. As promised, I took a photo of the post office, but it ended up as a sign saying ‘post office’. So I took this snap of the park, on the way back to the car.

I’m hoping FJ will send us his thoughts on the prize; meantime, I’ll tell you that it comprises three elements, relating to: personal independence, national independence and creative independence.

    Hmmm. I like a mystery.

Refresh my memory – is the esteemed FJ Dagg the winner of our “Independence Date” contest? I was away in England at the time. Perhaps I was at Penlee Park. But I can assure you, for the enjoyment of everyone, that I kept my dog on a lead.

Penzance? Did the pirates leave already? =D

Oh boy, we're good at stymying (or stimying or some such spelling) here.
I'm British, as many of you know, and if Penzance had any idea of what can often go on in parks, that sign would be a whole lot longer.
Doesn't it just welcome you in? I think we probably invented 'Don't Step On The Grass', so nothing comes as a surprise. But to Star5, I'd say, there are still a few of us pirates out there. The anarchists who get noticed, and those of us who never get seen, but flatten the grass from time to time. Subtle disagreement – very British and actually quite effective. Hehe.

I want to sing and dance, I want to sing and dance, I want my silver-buckled shoes and my tight and shiny pants…I want to sing and dance!

    Where are your buccaneers?
    Under me buckin' 'at!

Yep, 'tis he. I'm hoping for notification of his receipt of the goods before I reveal what he was said and the relevance to Independence.
