Hi y’all, here’s design number four. And if you think it looks a lot like design number one, you’d be right. Although the decision has weighed heavily on my in-tray, we’ve all appreciated your input and views and discussions about coffee. This modified design has taken some of your – and our – feedback into account. So feast your eyes on Ed’s creative endeavor and expect a final announcement soon.

Number one is still the best.. (still like the lightning bolt though…Don't let the darling die, save that idea for another anthology… )

Numbers one and four are certainly similar. I'm so glad somebody invented tabbed browsing. I opened the design one page in one tab and the design four page in another tab and then tabbed back and forth between them for easier comparison.

I like the font choice better on design four. And I see you turned the cup around, which I like.

That being said, if I had to choose between the two exactly as they are, I would still end up choosing the first design solely because of the contrast between the font and the images. The text is much more readable.

I think the color choices in the fourth design cause the title lines to blend in too much with the background. Also, although the cup in four has been turned around, it appears the cup is now smaller. Since coffe is a key element to the anthology, I think the cup should be more prominently displayed. The size of the cup and saucer on the first design are perfect.

The important thing is, with either design, if I walked into a bookstore and saw the cover, I would definitely pick up the book to see what was inside. And that's what a cover is supposed to do, isn't it?

I like this design a lot. It's my favorite! I wonder if the second coffee cup is needed. I think the one that's cutting into the coffee shop words could be eliminated. I do like the ghostly steam that's coming from that cup and wonder if that element could be worked into the other cup.

I like the cover and would like to make a suggestion. Because there is a coffee cup on the sign, I would suggest taking out the red coffee cup. Reason…too much emphasis and doubling on the symbol. Possibly placing an open bag of coffee beans with coffee beans dropping down from the bag would be a better application of “places I have bean” symbol…just a thought…good work.

I genuinely like all of the designs. They are all eye-catching and feel very cozy; a perfect combination for this anthology! I can't wait to see which one comes out on top . . . er . . . front and back. : )
